The Plot Thickens: Job Description (Social focused)

• Manage day-to-day social media accounts for clients, including content planning, copywriting, editing, publishing, and content performance tracking.
• Develop content ideas and social media content based on client priorities, brand positioning, industry trends, and audience interests.
• Research AI, semiconductor, technology, and go-global industries, keeping up with industry news, trends, competitors, and relevant campaigns to support content development and account work.
• Translate and localize global content for the China market, including content from client websites, LinkedIn, and other global channels.
• Work closely with account teams and the design team to develop and deliver content for client programs, campaigns, and events, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain content calendars and support monthly and quarterly reporting, including tracking content performance and providing insights and recommendations.
• Stay close to the social media landscape and bring new ideas, content formats, and storytelling opportunities to client programs.
• Support other account and project work as needed, working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver high-quality client work.

The Hero’s Background: Qualifications

• Around 1 year of experience in a PR agency, digital marketing, brand communications, or a related field, or 2–3 relevant internships.
• Hands-on experience with WeChat or other social media content, with strong Chinese writing skills and a good sense of storytelling, structure, and tone.
• Strong English reading and writing skills, with the ability to translate and localize English content for the China market.
• Familiarity with WeChat, Red, LinkedIn, and the broader social media landscape.
• Strong interest in AI, technology, semiconductors, and go-global companies, with the curiosity to continuously build industry knowledge.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong execution and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Experience working with B2B technology, AI, semiconductor, or enterprise clients, or a portfolio of social media/content work, is a plus.
