Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Generate ad hoc reports using accounting software as requested
- Contribute to special projects and process improvements initiatives
- Respond to information requests and assist with internal and external audits
- Collaborate with team members inside and outside the department
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant accounting experience, which could include internships or more junior accounting roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and strong excel skills
- Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills with a focus on details
- Demonstrates a strong drive and ambition to achieve results.
- Motivated to learn new processes, adapt to change and readily accepts coaching and feedback to support both professional development and organizational goals.
Location(s) & Logistics:
- Full-time role in our Sterling Heights office, potential for a day a week remote after onboarding is successfully completed.
