Accountant - Finance Shared Services

Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for accounting and financial reporting across the Coaxle group, covering both Lightstone and Halls Financial Services. The Accountant will work closely with the Head: Shared Services, taking primary ownership of month-end close, reconciliation and reporting integrity for both subsidiaries, and will review work prepared by shared services bookkeeping staff. Responsibility includes ensuring that entity-level results are accurate, complete and delivered on time, and that group-level consolidation is properly supported.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience

• BCom Accounting or equivalent bachelor’s degree (essential)
• Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles, or working toward CIMA/ACCA, advantageous.
• Minimum 4–5 years accounting experience, including review/supervisory exposure, ideally within a shared services or multi-entity environment.
• Experience working across more than one legal entity/subsidiary advantageous.
• Financial services or holding company/group exposure advantageous.
• Sage Evolution (or applicable group ERP) advanced user.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles (intercompany eliminations, minority interest).
• VAT and statutory compliance knowledge across relevant entities.
