The Accounting Analyst supports Finance Operations for Colombia and Chile by performing core accounting activities, contributing to an accurate monthly close, and helping maintain reliable financial records and reporting.

This role assists in reviewing balance sheet and income statement activity, preparing supporting schedules, and providing basic financial analysis to support reporting and operational decision-making. And the Accounting Analyst works closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to support compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, respond to reporting requests, and contribute to process consistency and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting activities for the Colombia and Chile entities, helping ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with corporate policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses for internal and corporate reporting needs.
  • Assist in monitoring account activity, investigating routine variances, and escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, intercompany transactions, prepaid expenses, and other key accounting areas.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to support payroll accounting, tax submissions, statutory filings, and audit requests.
  • Help maintain compliance with internal controls, finance policies, and documentation requirements, including support for internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation updates, and system-related initiatives that enhance the efficiency and quality of finance operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and other business partners to support daily operations and reporting activities.
  • Perform other accounting and reporting duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company, shared services environment, or corporate finance function.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements in Colombia and/or Chile; familiarity with US GAAP for corporate reporting is a plus.
  • ERP experience is required; SAP knowledge is preferred. Experience with system implementations or migrations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with guidance on more complex matters, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across countries and functions.
  • Advanced English proficiency is preferred;
