ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Position Location: In the corporate office located in Lincoln, Nebraska
- Oversee end-to-end invoice processing, electronic payments and check disbursements.
- Handle escalated vendor discrepancies, past-due issues and statement reconciliations.
- Assist with accruals and ledger reconciliations.
- Produce and monitor monthly cost comparisons to budget.
- Assist with tenant payments and ledger reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Assist with intercompany payables and receivables.
- Respond to and provide solutions to special projects created by yourself or as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Controller and collaborate with the team to achieve business results.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
DIRECT SUPERVISER:
This position reports to the Corporate Controller and will work alongside other accountants and office administrators.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor of Science/Art in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of strong accounting and finance experience or progressive advancement in accounting roles
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and help implement strategy from a finance perspective.
- Working knowledge of real estate related contracts, construction accounting, and transaction procedures common in the industry
- Personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity, and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value.
- Ability to communicate professionally in various forms with customers, associates and the general public, and ability to contribute to a strong team culture.
