Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Check the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, in compliance with internal control procedures and quality requirements.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by accurately recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions.
• Participate in month-end closing activities and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post accounting entries for:
  • assets;
  • liabilities;
  • revenues;
  • expenses,based on the analysis of accounting information.
• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts (sub-ledgers), identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Consolidate the financial position and prepare:
  • trial balance;
  • balance sheet
  • profit and loss statement;
  • other financial reports.
• Prepare tax calculations (taxes, duties) in accordance with applicable legislation under Senior Accountant supervision.
• Prepare statutory tax returns (D300, D394, D390, SAF-T) under Senior Accountant supervision.
• Perform monthly group reporting, in line with Expleo group requirements and deadlines.
• Provide support and documentation during tax inspections and financial audits (internal or external).

Qualifications

- University degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Economics).- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.- Knowledge of financial accounting and Romanian tax legislation.- Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting.- Excel skills – advanced level.- Experience with ERP systems: SAP, Oracle, experience with Unit4 is an advantage- English – intermediate level.
