Accounting Specialist

At Kaizen Gaming, our Accounting team plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of our financial information across multiple markets. As we continue to grow in LATAM, we're evolving our operating model to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and deliver accounting excellence.

As an Accounting Specialist for Brazil, you will own the quality of the monthly close, acting as the orchestrator of the accounting process rather than a transactional accountant. You'll coordinate cross-functional inputs, challenge accounting assumptions, strengthen financial controls, and ensure Brazil's financial statements are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Your work will directly support Finance leadership by building confidence in the numbers that drive business decisions.

As a Accounting Specialist you will:

• Own the monthly accounting close for Brazil, coordinating all stakeholders to deliver an accurate, reviewed, and on-time close.
• Review and challenge accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and manual journals to ensure quality before they reach the general ledger.
• Lead balance sheet, flux, and variance analyses, providing reliable financial information that enables FP&A, Tax, and Finance leadership to confidently use the reported numbers.
• Coordinate internal and external accounting partners, including BPO providers, validating their deliverables and resolving discrepancies rather than applying temporary fixes.
• Strengthen accounting controls, standardize close processes, and drive automation initiatives that reduce manual work and increase operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in Brazilian statutory accounting, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Business Central or similar) and managing accounting activities within structured closing calendars.
• An analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the confidence to challenge financial information, identify root causes, and continuously improve accounting processes.
• Ownership, collaboration, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Tax, Treasury, and external partners.
• Working proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Demonstrated AI-first mindset, actively leveraging AI tools and assistants to improve productivity, problem-solving, and decision-making. Continuously exploring new AI capabilities and championing their practical adoption within teams, using AI as a natural part of day-to-day work rather than a supplementary tool.
