Accounts Assistant

This position plays a key role in finance but also in the wider business. As Accounts Assistant your responsibilities will include overseeing the timely and accurate preparation and processing of sales and purchase invoices, cash payments and receipts and journals as well as supporting the wider Finance Team and Business with ad-hoc projects and requests.

• Perform 3 way matching of purchase invoices and process onto purchase ledger
• Prepare and process bi-monthly supplier payment runs and review with management
• reconcile supplier statements, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• reconcile bank accounts and prepare cash balances report
• Assist with preparation of 13 week cash flow forecast
• Review and process company credit card transactions
• Process employee expense claims
• monitor and maintain finance mailbox
• work as a junior finance business partner to other depts

Requirements

• Currently studying AAT or similar
• Basic understanding and experience of accounting systems, processes and controls
• Good attention to detail
• Good interpersonal, communication skills & demonstrable initiative
