The AC&R Technician is responsible for the operations of all air conditioning and refrigeration units on base in support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
·Conduct maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, etc., on all air conditioning and refrigeration units
·Provide cross-sectional support to the General Mechanical maintenance staff as needed
·Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
·Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
·Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
·Use knowledge of industry standard policies, procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
·Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
Education:
·High School Degree Required
Licenses & Certifications:
·Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required
·AC&R training required
·EPA Section 608, as applicable
Experience:
·Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in similar position
·Experience and training in safety
Skills & Abilities:
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals
·Ability to install, assemble, and configure new mechanical or refrigeration systems
·Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues
·Ability to work independently and coordinate with general maintenance staff
·Ability to work with various levels of personnel
·Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Other:
·Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
