Wigginton Cottage is seeking an activities coordinator to join our team.

2 x 8-hour days, or hours divided across 3 days, may be considered. There is some flexibility around start and finish times, with shifts generally starting from around 9:30am onwards to accommodate service user preferences. A 1-hour unpaid break applies each day.

Wigginton Cottage, Tamworth, Staffordshire is a residential service supporting 8 adults with a range of needs. It is located in a village setting and is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes and nearby rail links into Tamworth. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents.

You will also:
  • Plan and coordinate a varied programme of activities, trips and holidays across a 12-month calendar, ensuring activities are planned around individual needs, abilities and preferences.
  • Support up to eight residents with varied needs, including autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome, mental health needs and behaviours that may challenge, adapting activities to promote inclusion and engagement.
  • Maintain activity planners, posters and evidence files, ensuring records support regulatory compliance and reflect Priory values.
  • Manage activity expenditure through the CFA system, ensuring the annual budget is used effectively to provide meaningful opportunities for residents.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with complex support needs, with experience planning and organising activities, events or trips. You’ll be able to adapt activities to meet individual needs and preferences, while maintaining accurate records and working within relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
