ADAS Testing Specialist

Pay: $40.00/hour plus benefits
Schedule: Full-time, typically 30+ hours per week
Assignment Length: 6-month contract with high possibility of extension

Job Description

We are helping our client hire a Vehicle Testing Specialist to support daily testing activities for its autonomous vehicle programs.

In this role, you will prepare autonomous vehicles for testing, execute established test plans, evaluate vehicle hardware and software functionality, and report testing outcomes to provide critical information to software development teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or related automotive testing, along with a strong understanding of the hardware and software systems that enable autonomous driving.

You should be comfortable identifying and discussing common vehicle sensors, such as cameras and radar, understanding their role within an autonomous system, and taking a methodical approach to preparing vehicles and systems for testing.

Training Schedule

Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
Training Duration: Approximately 2-3 weeks

Available Shifts

• Tuesday-Friday: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
• Saturday:
• 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Monday-Thursday: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

• Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday will eventually extend until 10:30 PM.

As a Vehicle Testing Specialist, You Will

• Prepare AV and ADAS development vehicles for testing and execute established test plans.
• Assess vehicle hardware and software readiness before and during testing.
• Identify issues that may affect testing activities or overall vehicle functionality.
• Execute test plans on autonomous vehicle and ADAS development platforms.
• Coordinate with software engineers and operations teams to improve testing procedures.
• Provide detailed notes and formal reports documenting testing activities, observations, and results.
• Work closely with Vehicle Operators to conduct testing professionally, safely, and efficiently.
• Promote and maintain strong safety standards across vehicle testing programs.
• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues involving vehicle hardware, computers, or related systems.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hardware testing, software testing, data entry, or a similar technical role.
• Experience troubleshooting issues involving computers, hardware, or other technical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow established testing procedures.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with engineering and operations teams.
• Strong interest in understanding the functionality of autonomous driving software.
• Ability to clearly document observations, testing activities, and technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with ADAS, autonomous vehicles, or other automotive systems.
• Experience with software development practices.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Familiarity with collaboration and project-management tools such as:
• Slack
• Jira
• Confluence
• Experience using Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with vehicle sensors and autonomous driving hardware, including cameras, radar, and related systems.
