Adjunct Faculty - Literature and Creative Writing

The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Literature and Creative Writingcourses. The Literaturefaculty teach introductory courses, intermediate thematic surveys, and advanced topic seminarsand haveparticular interestsinAmerican(including African American and Chicana/o),English,andWorldliteratures; poetry;andAmerican and Global cinema. The Creative Writing Program offers introduction, intermediate, and advancedseminarsin fiction, creative non-fiction,andpoetry.

We are looking for outstanding scholars, but successful candidates must also demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an ability to jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches. A successful candidate should hold a PhD inEnglish, Comparative Literature, or Modern Languages and Literaturesor an MFA in creative writing.
