Job Description
GBM is looking for a talented Windows Server Admin to join our team. In this role, you will manage, design, and implement hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premise and cloud), applying industry best practices while adhering to company policies, processes, and procedures.
In a typical week you will
- Hybrid IT infrastructure management.
- Application infrastructure SLAs and OLAs management.
- Service provider management.
- IT infrastructure, migration planning and execution.
- Designing, monitoring, and gathering metrics platforms.
- Disaster recovery planning and deployment for IT infrastructure.
- IT infrastructure POCs planning and execution.
Requisites:
- 3 years applicable experience as a Windows Server Admin
- Intermediate English: you will handle calls in English with suppliers from the USA and Canada
- Physical server management (HPE ProLiant, Synergy, OneView) – Experience installing, configuring, and managing physical servers (rack, blades, & enclosures)
- Microsoft core stack:
- (Windows Server) – Experience installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server (2012 – 2022) Common activities like: Installing, configuring, and managing WS features, troubleshooting issues, event diagnosis, registry modifications, templates creation, hardening, local policies configuration, etc.
- (WSUS) – Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, policy configuration for updates deployment, etc.
- Hyper-V) - Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, VM deployment (templates), VM migrations (P2V, V2V, V2Cloud and clustering configuration.
- (Clustering) - Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, experience managing Hyper-V clusters, SQL Failover clusters and SQL Always On clusters.
- (DNS) - Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, forwarding configuration, zone configuration, etc.
- Active Directory management (ADDS, ADFS) - Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, replication management and troubleshooting, Organization Unit design, Group Policy configuration, deployment and troubleshooting, sites architecture design, etc.
- (IIS) - Installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting, features installation/configuration, websites/WCFs/pools troubleshooting.
- (PowerShell) – Cmdlets knowledge, scripts design, automation task design, etc.
- Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
- Backup management – Backup policy design, testing, and recovery tasks (Druva, Veeam)
- Linux management – Linux installation, configuration and managing, troubleshooting (RHEL, CentOS, Amazon Linux, Pacemaker)
