Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is now hiring!

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administration Clerk in our Emergency Department.  As a member of the Emergency Department Administration team, you are customer focused and enjoy working in a busy team environment.   The successful applicant will work on a rotating roster on a combination of day, evening and night shifts for which penalty rates apply.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated accuracy and problem-solving skills maintaining attention to detail
• Able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated skills in managing information in a discreet, professional and confidential manner
• Able to work on a rotating roster in a 24/7 department opened 365 days per year
• Willingness to learn new systems

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in hospital patient administration systems, or private practice software 
• Understanding of Private Health Insurance / Medicare patient billing 
• Relevant health services experience is desirable but not essential
