We're looking for a Lead AI Product Consultant to work with clients to identify high-impact AI opportunities, shape product strategy, and deliver practical solutions that transform the way work gets done.

You'll combine consulting expertise, product thinking, and a strong understanding of AI to help clients move from ideas and experimentation to measurable outcomes. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll lead discovery, define product direction, build stakeholder confidence, and ensure AI solutions are delivered responsibly and effectively.

What you’ll do:

  • Discover and frame client problems, business outcomes, user needs and decision points before jumping to an AI solution.
  • Identify, assess and prioritise AI and agentic opportunities using value, feasibility, risk, data readiness and change impact.
  • Map workflows and redesign how work gets done across people, AI agents, systems and data.
  • Shape AI product visions, value hypotheses, MVP/PoV scopes, roadmaps, success measures and delivery plans.
  • Define what 'good' looks like for probabilistic AI systems, including evaluation criteria, quality thresholds, failure modes and human oversight.
  • Work with engineers, architects, designers, data specialists and client SMEs to turn concepts into working, testable solutions.
  • Design product guardrails covering explainability, traceability, permissions, escalation, responsible use and appropriate human control.
  • Use evidence from prototypes, pilots and benchmarks to build business cases and advise whether to stop, iterate, scale or change direction.
  • Design and facilitate discovery, strategy, prioritisation, operating model and mobilisation workshops with mixed client audiences.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear recommendations, decision packs, roadmaps, proposals and executive-level narratives.
  • Support change and adoption by helping clients define roles, processes, governance, communications, training and feedback loops.
  • Contribute to AI pre-sales: qualify opportunities, shape engagements, estimate effort, write proposals and statements of work, and present to prospective clients.
  • Help develop reusable Scott Logic AI value propositions, consulting methods, accelerators, playbooks and thought leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and challenge constructively when technology is not the right answer.

    • What we’re looking for:

    You do not need to be the deepest AI engineer in the room. You do need enough technical understanding to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and make sound product choices. Equally, we are not looking for a traditional management consultant who only produces recommendations. The strongest candidates combine consulting clarity with product management and a bias toward proving value through delivery.

    Key Experience:

  • Delivery of AI/ML, GenAI, LLM, RAG or agentic products in an enterprise setting.
  • Product or transformation consulting experience, ideally across complex or regulated organisations.
  • Experience in financial services, government, energy or other environments where governance, resilience and auditability matter.
  • Workflow / service design, operating-model design, change management or business transformation experience.
  • Experience proving AI value through pilots, experiments, benchmarks or measurable productivity/quality outcomes.
  • Pre-sales, proposal writing, account growth, proposition development or consulting practice development.
