Key Responsibilities
RLB is building an enterprise AI capability to transform how our people work and how we deliver services to clients.
We are looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to become the technical partner to the Head of AI, helping turn the strategy and vision into practical solutions that deliver real business value.
You will focus on the design, build and the support of AI agents, copilots and intelligent workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI, Claude and related technologies.
Working across the business, you will create solutions that connect to data, automate processes and provide intuitive user experiences that colleagues want to use.
This is a hands-on technical delivery role suited to someone who enjoys building, experimenting and delivering working products rather than dealing with strategies, operating models or politics.
All responsibilities are to be delivered in accordance with RLB security policies and the guidelines and security standards set by the Head of Infrastructure and Security.
AI Solution Design & Delivery
AI Solution Design & Delivery
- Design, build and deploy AI-powered solutions that solve real business challenges.
- Translate business requirements into practical AI applications, agents and workflows.
- Rapidly prototype ideas and progress successful concepts into production-ready solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify automation and productivity opportunities.
Agent Development & Automation
- Build and maintain AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and other leading AI platforms.
- Develop multi-step agent workflows that automate business processes and support decision making.
- Configure prompts, instructions, knowledge sources and integrations to maximise solution effectiveness.
- Monitor and continually improve agent performance based on user feedback and business outcomes.
Data & Integration
- Understand APIs, MCP servers and connectors that enable secure access to business systems and data.
- Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint & CRM systems and other enterprise platforms.
- Support the development of retrieval-based AI solutions using structured and unstructured data sources.
- Work alongside IT and Information Security teams to ensure solutions are secure and scalable.
Product & User Experience
- Build simple, intuitive user experiences that drive adoption and business value.
- Develop lightweight web applications, dashboards and front-end interfaces to support AI solutions.
- Gather user feedback and continuously improve solutions based on real-world usage.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools and platforms.
- Identify opportunities to apply new capabilities across the business.
- Create proofs of concept to test and validate new ideas.
- Maintain awareness of developments across the Microsoft AI ecosystem and wider Artificial intelligence industry.

- Experience in designing, building and deploying AI and digital solutions that solve business problems.
- Experience with AI, automation or workflow technologies.
- Can work with stakeholders to integrate systems through APIs and connectors.
- Ability to develop solutions and problem solve deployments using modern programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders and non-technical users.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical capability and user adoption by creating solutions that people genuinely enjoy using.
- A passion for emerging AI technologies and a desire to continually learn.
Desirable
- Experience building modern web applications, portals or digital products.
- Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and the ability to create intuitive, user-friendly solutions.
- Knowledge of databases, data modelling and data integration concepts.
- Understanding of how data quality, governance and accessibility impact AI solution.
- Exposure to modern AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Azure AI.
- Experience building chatbots, copilots, virtual assistants or agent-based solutions.
- Awareness of emerging concepts such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or multi-agent architectures.
