We are looking for a motivated individual to fulfil the position of an Aircraft Maintenance engineer in Robertson.


Required Qualifications:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).
  • Licensed Mechanical SACAA A&C.
  • At least a few type licences on piston/turbine airframes and engines.
  • Licensed FAA A&P (Would be Advantages).
  • Licensed SACAA APC2 (Would be Advantages).


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a senior aircraft mechanic or similar position.
  • At least five to ten years of experience of aircraft maintenance.
  • Experience on turboprop and reciprocating engines.
  • Good managerial, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Good planning and technical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.
  • Sound understanding of technical publications and documentation.
  • Understanding of Civil Aviation Regulations and Technical Standards.
  • The candidate should hold a valid passport.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description:

  • The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for performing, inspecting, repairing, and certifying aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations, approved maintenance data, company procedures, and industry best practices. The role ensures aircraft remain airworthy, safe, and available for operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the South African civil aviation Authority (SACAA) or applicable regulatory body.
  • Records all inspection /maintenance actions using logbooks, computer systems or any other means as required by regulations.
  • Identify problems in a timely manner and develop practical solutions to maintenance problems, with appropriate guidance and technical expertise.
  • To monitor rectification of Recurring defects.
  • To notify the Head of Aircraft Maintenance about reportable occurrences in daily operations.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Be able to travel as required to support operations.
  • Must be able to meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are organized properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff.
  • Health and Safety requirements must always be complied with to ensure Personal and other Personnel Safety, Fire and Accident/Incident preventions.
