We have now become a part of the eBay family — one of the world’s largest and most established marketplaces. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Tise, bringing huge opportunities for growth, learning, and impact as we scale our product and technology faster than ever before.

The Tise team now counts over 100 people, the majority at our headquarters in Oslo. We're currently 30 engineers, split across Backend, Data/Machine Learning, Web, iOS, Android and a Growth team. Tise engineers work in small, cross-functional teams, solving fun and complex problems. From pixels to database queries, we take pride in owning the tech we use to serve hundreds of thousands of users each month.

We are now looking for an Android Developer on-site in Oslo who wants to be a part of our journey and help us take Tise to the next level 🚀💚

What you will work on

You will be joining one of our cross-functional product teams, and own Android delivery in one of the marketplace domains, for a community of hundreds of thousands of monthly users.

• Build features end to end in Kotlin, from refining current spec to shipping new production code.

• Help drive our adoption of Jetpack Compose

• Contribute to shared standards and architecture across the Android chapter.

• Focus on performance, reliability and observability, is the user experiencing a smooth experience from scrolling, to buying and selling?

• Raise the bar on our Android code base, through tests, reviews and mentoring.

What you will bring

• 4+ years relevant experience building Android applications

• Experience with JUnit and Espresso tests

• Good understanding of the full Android development lifecycle, including application architecture design (MVVM)

• Knowledge of coroutines & Hilt

• Passion for details and great user experiences with the ability to dive into an existing, complex app, and learn quickly

• Experience with, or open to learn about, payment and shipping technology

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
