Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. Our team is looking for an AP/AR Clerk (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk) who is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures compliance with company policies and supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.

To be considered for the Accounts Payable Clerk opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting or finance preferred).
• 3-5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and tie management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

As an AP/AR Clerk, you will:

• Review, verify, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
• Enter and maintain accurate vendor and transaction records in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Support the AR team.
• Record cash receipts.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Compensation Pay Range

$25 to $28.50/hour, depending on experience
