Applicant Pool for Non-Credit Instructor, American Heart Association BLS

Instruct AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to pre professionals, professionals and lay persons in accordance with AHA guidelines in an energetic and understandable manner to a wide audience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• American Heart Association certified BLS PROVIDER and INSTRUCTOR.
  1-3 years prior experience as a PROVIDER is preferred.
  Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Energetic attitude.
  Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  Basic knowledge of computer and Audio/Visual systems preferred.
  Be physically able to perform CPR on a mannequin.
  Be able to lift, move, bend, kneel, carry within reason.

Essential Functions:

• Instruct AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to pre professionals, professionals and lay persons in accordance with AHA guidelines in an energetic and understandable manner to a wide audience.
• Answer basic questions regarding Anatomy and Physiology of the cardiac system.
• Maintain equipment and use A/V materials.
• Successfully run 2 BLS CPR classes on campus while being monitored by a senior instructor.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• American Heart Association certified BLS PROVIDER and INSTRUCTOR.
  1-3 years prior experience as a PROVIDER is preferred.
