We are looking for an early-career Application Engineer who is passionate about modern C++ software development, distributed systems, and solving real-world technical challenges. This role is ideal for recent university graduates or engineers with 1–2 years of experience who want to work on cutting-edge mobility technologies while learning from experienced engineers and collaborating with global customers.
In this role, you will help deploy and support advanced software solutions based on Apex.OS while working closely with senior engineers, customers, and product teams. You will gain hands-on experience with embedded systems, middleware, networking, robotics software, and real-world production deployments.

This role is located in our Munich office. Authorization to work in Germany is required.
What You’ll Do
- Support customer deployments and integrations using Apex.AI products
- Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to understand technical requirements
- Help troubleshoot software, middleware, networking, and embedded systems issues
- Contribute code, bug fixes, and enhancements to Apex.OS
- Assist with software testing, validation, and system integration activities
- Participate in customer workshops, demos, and technical presentations
- Work closely with senior engineers to learn best practices for production-grade software development
- Help improve tooling, documentation, and developer workflows
- Support customer success across automotive and intelligent machine applications
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field
- Strong foundation in modern C++ programming
- Internship, academic project, or early professional experience with software development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in embedded systems, robotics, middleware, or distributed systems
- Familiarity with Linux development environments
- Experience using Git or similar version control systems
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-moving technical environment
Nice To Have
- Exposure to ROS/ROS 2, DDS, networking, or communication protocols
- Experience with Python, scripting, or automation tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and modern software development practices
- Experience with build systems such as CMake or Bazel
- Academic, internship, or personal projects involving robotics, autonomous systems, or embedded software
- Interest in automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, or safety-critical systems
