As an Application Scientist, you will be part of our marketing and sales team in Boston. Provide expert application support to customers across the US working with ZI's T&M instruments (lock-in amplifiers, impedance analyzers, AWGs)

Conduct onsite system integration, demos, and training at customer laboratories

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales growth and customer retention

Represent Zurich Instruments at trade shows, conferences, and academic events across the US

Collaborate with the global sales and product teams to relay customer feedback and application insights

Produce technical content including application notes, presentations, product documentation, and demo videos

Actively develop your commercial skills in a role that blends deep technical work with customer-facing impact

PhD or Master's in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related experimental science with hands-on lab experience

Solid practical experience with dynamic signal measurement — familiarity with lock-in detection, impedance spectroscopy, or waveform generation is a strong plus

Comfortable with scientific programming, ideally Python, for instrument control and data analysis

Strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both academic and industrial audiences

Customer-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building relationships and developing commercial skills

Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently across a large territory
