You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who
• Takes ownership of service reliability and acts quickly when systems signal problems, while trying to prevent problems proactively
• Systematically approaches bottlenecks within the system (and has map of these bottlenecks overall), converts them to measurable digits (including RPO, RTO, etc.) and provides remediation measures
• Is able to switch between operational and system level issues
• Enjoys being the bridge between technical teams and customers — translating complex issues into clear, timely communication - and is ready to accommodate partially support nature of the job
• Is methodical and detail-oriented, with process mindset and understanding of the documentation importance
• Has a genuine interest in financial markets and trading workflows
• Wants to grow in reliability of complex FinTech Cloud-based systems area, gaining exposure to a global client base
Tech stack
- Apache Airflow — monitoring pipeline health, identifying failed DAGs and data processing issues
- Sentry — tracking application errors, exceptions, and anomalies
- Grafana — reading dashboards, interpreting metrics and alert rules
- OneTick time-series database — understanding data flow context
- Basic Linux CLI for log inspection and diagnostic commands
What you'll do
SRE aspect of the job
- Build the wholistic picture out of the separate issues and improve overall system stability and reliability
- Contribute to making system stability and reliability measurable
- Deliver reporting of the system stability and reliability
- Collaborate with the Product team to remediate the systematic issues
- Consider AI for the productivity increase
Monintoring aspect of the job
- Monitor Airflow, Sentry, and Grafana continuously for alerts, failures, and anomalies
- Detect, register, and triage incidents according to severity and impact
Support aspect of the job
- Communicate proactively with customers: acknowledge issues, provide status updates, and set ETA expectations
- Escalate complex or unresolved incidents to the appropriate engineering teams with clear context
- Fulfil service requests from clients in a timely manner
- Maintain incident logs and contribute to post-incident summaries
Requirements
- Airflow: ability to navigate the UI, inspect DAG runs, identify failures and their causes
- Sentry: ability to read error traces, identify patterns, and assess severity
- Grafana: ability to interpret dashboards, understand alert conditions, and identify anomalies
- Experience of working with Git and CI/CD approach.
- Linux: basic command-line proficiency for log inspection (not system administration)
- English: professional working proficiency — both written (customer emails/tickets) and spoken
- Proven experience of working as SRE or with L1/L2 Customer support.
- ITSM fundamentals: understanding of Incident, Problem, Service Request concepts
- Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, Zendesk, or similar)
- Awareness of Kanban approach
- Computer networking: familiarity with diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, dig)
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of financial markets and trading workflows (equities, derivatives, trade lifecycle, corporate actions)
- Basic knowledge of AWS and Cloud technologies
- Familiarity with AI automation
- Familiarity with observability stacks (ELK, LGTM)
- Python: ability to read basic scripts for context (not required to write)
- Awareness of the best release practices
The position will require a background check, signed NDA, signed contract, and signed GDPR processor passthrough agreement (since we act as a data processor under GDPR).
