What's involved?

As an Apprentice Heavy Diesel Technician, you'll learn alongside experienced technicians and develop the skills to service, maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy commercial vehicles to the highest standards.

Through the MITO apprenticeship programme, you'll work towards a nationally recognised qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a busy workshop environment.

What we're looking for

We're more interested in attitude than experience, so if you're motivated and eager to learn, we encourage you to apply.

You'll ideally have:

• A positive, can-do attitude
• A genuine interest in mechanics, trucks, and how things work
• NCEA Level 2 or equivalent, including Maths and English
• The commitment and self-discipline required to complete your MITO studies
• Reliable transport to and from work
• A Full or Restricted Driver Licence
• New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency

A pre-trade automotive qualification would be an advantage, but it's not essential.
