Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government facility personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious persons, vehicles, activity, and/or conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
