About the Role:
MSS Security is currently seeking Full-Time & Casual Armed Security Officers to join our team at a high-profile, secure government facility in Melbourne’s north. In this important role, you will help maintain the safety and security of staff, visitors and property.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to ensure the premises remain secure and free from incidents.
- Monitor and control entry points, verify identification, and conduct security screenings to prevent unauthorised access.
- Accurately document any incidents or security breaches, ensuring they are communicated to the appropriate personnel.
- Undertake the day-to-day operations of the control room, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure timely action.
- Enforcing up to date Site Standing Orders and communicating changes of policy, procedures, and operating requirements.
- Ensuring that all incidents are reported through the correct channels and the appropriate actions are taken.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation is highly desired.
- High quality report writing is essential.
- A professional demeanour and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- The physical capability to conduct regular patrols and remain at static posts for extended periods.
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory.
- Certificate III in Security Operations.
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
- Current Victorian Firearms Licence (or willing to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).
- White Card (or willing to obtain).
