About this role
Job Purpose:
To enhance the value of assigned products by ensuring all goods are properly displayed and merchandised. This entails ensuring all brand standards are maintained, stocks are rotated, and assigned retail outlets are regularly visited to ensure products are properly placed, visible, and POP material is used effectively.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Visit assigned outlets to pack and replenish assigned products
- Maintain the assigned products are in the best location to ensure visibility, consumer traffic flow, and accessibility
- Rotate stock regularly to ensure products are positioned on the shelves & chillers to minimize and eliminate expiration issues
- Ensure all points of sales for the products are always packed appropriately and products are replenished
- Create Brand Blocks on shelf & chillers
- Allocate/pack space according to planograms
- Place products where labels face the customer (forward)
- Use POP material effectively and efficiently on the customer shopping path
- Practice good housekeeping including and not limited to:
- Ensuring selling spaces for products are clean, tidy and dust free;
- Re-papering shelves with corresponding brand shelf paper;
- Keeping cold spaces clean and compliant
- Report stock outs to the Trade Marketing Coordinator and Sales Representative and follow up on the sale
- Ensure correct retail pricing on the shelves & chillers
- Assist the Sales Representative as necessary in terms of placing supplementary orders, ensuring expiring goods are noted and liquidated
- Support the promotion of the products and sustain a competitive edge over other brands
- Complete all Reports required and submit to Trade Marketing Coordinator on set dates
- Participate in display competitions and incentive programs conducted throughout the year
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) CXC passes, which must include English and Mathematics
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in merchandising
- Or a relevant combination of training and experience
- Must have a valid driver's permit and a reliable working vehicle
