AS734 - Temporary Afternoon Nanny - Midtown Manhattan

Overview

A lovely family in midtown Manhattan is seeking a fantastic temporary afternoon nanny to assist with their two children, ages 7 and 4.5. The hours for this role will be Monday through Friday, 4-8pm. The family has a full-time nanny who will continue to handle school pick-ups, meal and hygiene routines, and other childcare responsibilities. The purpose of this position is to provide support and have fun with the children while their father goes through cancer treatment for the next 2 months. The family is looking to hire immediately, and hopes to find someone who is available for at least 2 months, but they are understanding of the fact that candidates may have less availability if they find a permanent position during that time.

Responsibilities

• Provide engagement through art, play, and games for two elementary-aged children
• Plan outings and activities
• Occasionally accompany children to activities and appointments

Qualifications

• Camp counselor energy- this position is mainly to provide distraction and fun for two children during a difficult time
• Warm and light
• Understanding of emotional ups and downs

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Experience caring for children in similar circumstances would be highly desired
• Ideally available for 2 months

Salary and Benefits

• $40-45/hr.
