AS735 - ASAP Night NCS - Upper West Side

Overview

A sweet family on the UWS is seeking a top-notch night Newborn Care Specialist to help care for their 1.5-month-old baby. The schedule for this role is 7 days per week, 7pm-7am. The family is hoping to find someone who is available for a 5-6 week contract, but they are open to candidates who have a shorter window of availability. The NCS should have experience and a history of success with sleep training. They are looking for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of providing attentive and nurturing newborn care, including feeding and bathing
• Diaper changes and maintaining hygiene
• Baby laundry, bottle/pump part cleaning and sanitizing, and cleaning of toys and other baby items
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment
• Provide recommendations for nursery items and daily routines
• Carry out parents’ preferences
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment
• Encourage healthy sleep habits following AAP safe sleep guidelines
• Maintain a log of pertinent information, including noting feedings and diaper changes

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Calm, gentle and nurturing presence
• Highly trustworthy and honest
• Knowledge of infant care best practices, safety protocols, and first aid

Requirements

• 5+ years of NCS experience
• Up to date on vaccines including TDap and flu
• US work authorization
• Experience and previous success in sleep training
• Ideally available for 5-6 weeks

Salary and Benefits

• $45-60/hr.+DOE
