We are looking for a teaching assistant to work with autistic children for an immediate start at a supportive primary school in Newham for a long term role until July 2019. If you are looking for a teaching assistant role in Newham working with autism then this is an excellent opportunity for you.

** Small Group intervention Work as a Teaching Assistant

** Previous 1:1 experience with autistic children required

** Additional communication training such as Makaton and PECs a bonus

The role will be working in a medium-sized primary school as a teaching assistant within a large and well-resourced SEN provision. Applicants for this teaching assistant role should be exceptional communicators and strong team-players, able to fit in well with the supportive staff-team at the school.

The school caters for a wide range of Special Educational Needs, they have several children on the autistic spectrum and now need of a further addition to the team to work with children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
