About this role

We are looking for a responsible and well-structured Assistant to support the Camp Leader in the organisation and daily operations of our overnight camp (approx. 60 children, 7 staff members).

Each year, we successfully organise well-established summer camps in St. Gilgen, welcoming children from different backgrounds in a structured, international environment.

This role combines leadership responsibility with active involvement in camp life.

The Assistant acts as a bridge between the Camp Leader and the Counsellor team and plays a key role in ensuring structure, safety and smooth daily operations.

Tasks

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Camp Leader in organisational and administrative tasks
  • Preparing daily programs and materials (printing schedules, activity sheets, class lists, room lists, etc.)
  • Assisting with lesson coordination during teaching hours
  • Helping ensure a structured and smooth daily flow
  • Serving as a contact person for Counsellors
  • Acting as second escalation level in child-related conflicts
  • Supporting parent communication when required
  • Stepping in operationally when the Camp Leader is temporarily unavailable
  • Participating fully in activities and supervision as a Counsellor
