Accountabilities:
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance results to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
- Conduct technical accounting analysis in accordance with IFRS standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy across reporting activities.
- Review and analyze complex software contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS 15 guidelines.
- Provide financial insights, analysis, and computations to support divisional leaders and business decision-making.
- Supervise and provide direct guidance to billing and accounts payable functions, while supporting broader finance team members.
- Coordinate audit processes, respond to auditor inquiries, and support quarterly and year-end audit requirements.
- Contribute to due diligence activities and support the integration of acquisitions into financial systems and processes.
- Lead and support special projects that improve financial operations, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and process consistency.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related financial reporting environment.
- CPA designation completed or in progress is required.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards, particularly IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within software, technology, or public accounting.
- Strong attention to detail with a solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to process improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities including reporting cycles, audits, and project work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and operational teams.
- Familiarity with financial systems, accounting processes, and corporate reporting structures.
