Novotel Amsterdam City has 610 rooms, meaning that more than 1,300 guests stay at the hotel daily. The Front Office ensures that every guest has an unforgettable experience, from check-in to check-out. The Front Office consists of approximately 25 colleagues, including the Manager, 3 Supervisors, 20 Team Members, and possibly you as the new Assistant Manager.

What will your day look like?
Alongside Shiani, you'll lead the Front Office team, being the driving force in motivating, inspiring, and coaching our colleagues. Our goal is to provide an optimal guest experience; you'll proactively seek areas for improvement and ensure continuous enhancement. You enjoy identifying procedural imperfections and training the team to deliver even better service. Additionally, you'll assist in personnel management, scheduling, and frequently be at the front of the house.

In addition to your daily administrative tasks, you'll also participate in team recruitment and selection, performance management, training sessions, etc. You'll also independently handle projects such as upselling, membership acquisition, and ensuring that complaints are addressed in a way that prevents their recurrence in the future.

• A gross salary of € 3.139,59 per month based on a 38-hour work week (the salary offered by us is 7,5% higher than the Horeca CAO scale 7);

Who are we looking for?
We're seeking someone who can connect with both the staff and the guests. You know how to inspire and coach the team like no other. Guests also notice your presence because you ensure they have a fantastic stay in our hotel!

Furthermore, you're adaptable, assertive, and capable of turning every project into a success. You:

• Have completed an MBO/HBO education, preferably from a Hotel School;
• have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role with a background in Rooms;
• naturally motivate the team and are flexible enough to assist colleagues when needed;
• Is outgoing and has excellent communication skills when interacting with guests;
• are confident in giving constructive feedback and helping team members grow and develop;
• and speak fluent English.
