Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - Surgical

Waverley Private Hospital is a 98 bed acute/surgical facility located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. Waverley Private is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to cover parental leave as an ANUM in our General Surgical Ward. The ward is a fast paced, high turnover surgical ward that has a mix of orthopaedic, plastics, urology, gynaecology, adult and paediatric ENT, general and vascular surgery. At this stage we are needing coverage to the 11th of July 2027 however, there is potential for this to extend. The successful candidate will be working on a part-time basis (45hrs/fortnight). This role is suited to an experienced nurse with management aspirations or experience to step into a key leadership role.

In the ANUM role you will also closely monitor and assist the Nurse Unit Manager with human and equipment resource management.

Your Skills and Experience

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in an acute setting 
• Acute Paediatrics experience is advantageous but not essential
• Clinical leadership experience or post graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded
