Associate Technical Designer

About the role 

As an Associate Technical Designer, you will design games and levels. You will also create, implement and balance game-play content to model player experiences. 

Your day-to day will include: 

● Participation in game ideation and associated presentation and documentation work. ● Rapid prototyping of gameplay mechanics, user experiences and creative concepts. ● Designing games, levels and mechanics concepts. 

● Scripting games, levels and mechanics concepts. 

● Designing visuals concepts in collaboration with the development teams. ● Creating technical game design and work documentation. 

● Participation in evaluating tasks and setting priorities and schedules. 

● Other tasks related to the above which may be asked of you from time to time. 

Qualifications

What we are looking for 

● Proficiency in game design, game mechanics and gameplay. 

● Knowledge of full-stack game development and rapid prototyping. 

● Familiarity with UEFN and the Fortnite Creative ecosystem is an asset. ● Certification in game design like NAD-UQAC, UQAT, UdeM, ISART is an asset. ● Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

● Curiosity, creativity and autonomy.
