In this role, the selected candidate will manage client portfolios, lead audits, and support the growth and development of junior staff.
This hybrid role offers a salary of up to €40K.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring clear communication and timely reporting to Managers and above
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, adapting your approach to foster trust and credibility
- Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and enhancing overall team performance
- Apply and expand technical knowledge in auditing standards and practices, contributing to both your own and the team’s expertise
- Monitor local and national business and economic trends to assess potential impacts on clients
Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; near completion of ACCA or ACA is acceptable
- 5+ years of external audit experience within a Big4 firm
- Minimum 1-year audit experience in Malta – non-negotiable
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and IASs – non-negotiable
- Demonstrated experience in audit planning, risk assessment, and control testing
- Experience with internal audits is a plus
- Willingness to obtain a Maltese Warrant (company-sponsored)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proactive with excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
About the Role
