AUTOCAD SPECIALIST

We partner with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, and laboratory organizations to deliver specialized services for critical environments.

We are seeking an AutoCAD Specialist to turn field measurements, sketches, photographs, and inspection findings into accurate technical drawings for our NDT and Mechanical Integrity projects.

What You'll Do

• Create and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings using field notes, measurements, photographs, and inspection data.

• Prepare tank drawings showing shell, roof, and floor plates, dimensions, repairs, and inspection findings.

• Develop piping isometrics and equipment drawings, including chiller and heat exchanger tube layouts.

• Apply drawing standards for layers, dimensions, annotations, scales, title blocks, and revisions.

• Check drawings against source data for accuracy, completeness, and legibility.

• Work with inspectors and project teams to clarify missing or inconsistent technical information.

• Prepare drawing packages, tables, and supporting documentation for final client reports.

• Maintain organized drawing files, revision histories, and project tracking records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.

• Demonstrated experience creating and revising technical drawings in AutoCAD.

• Ability to read sketches, mechanical drawings, plans, specifications, and field measurements.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D tools, including layers, blocks, dimensions, layouts, plotting, and PDF exports.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred

• Experience with tanks, piping, industrial equipment, or mechanical systems.

• Experience preparing inspection or Mechanical Integrity documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

• Experience supporting teams in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated facilities.

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
