About this role

Primary Responsibilities:

- Work alongside DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Automate tasks like patching, compliance checks, and system hardening on Linux servers.
- Diagnose and fix issues related to automation processes and system performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of automation workflows and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other teams to support automation initiatives.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience using Ansible for automation.
- Strong background in Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Proficient in creating and managing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform or AWX.
- Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.
- Competence in using Git and version control best practices.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automation tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or a similar credential.
- Experience with public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Podman.
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with IT service management tools like ServiceNow.
