AV Designer

The role

FLIK is looking for an AV Designer who understands how live events work from planning to execution.

You combine technical understanding, practical production experience and strong problem-solving skills. You can design reliable technical setups, anticipate issues before production, and find solutions when plans change. You'll be the link between our Event Managers, Designers and Technical team. You'll translate 3D designs and client wishes into workable technical plans, challenge them when needed, and lead the team that brings them to life.

We deliver more than 2,000 IR hybrid events every year across the Nordics through our own platform VideoSync ranging from simple audiocasts to cutting edge Virtual AGMs.

What you’ll do

· Plan technical setups for our studio, on-site and hybrid events

· Anticipate technical risks and solve problems before and during productions

· Prepare plans, budgets, equipment requirements and documentation

· Coordinate with internal teams, customers, freelancers and suppliers

· Participate hands-on in productions and technical operations

· Improve our studio architecture and ways of working

· Take ownership of technical production in our most important events

· Place customer needs first in your decisions

Technical environment

You’ll work with technologies such as:

· vMix, Madmapper, Lightkey, Companion and other software-based AV tools

· AVoIP protocols such as NDI, Dante, ArtNet, OSC

· PTZ systems, audio systems, automation

· Production networking

· LED volumes, vision mixing

· WebRTC, RTMP and streaming platforms

You don’t need to be an expert in everything. We’re looking for strong general technical understanding and the ability to see how the pieces work together.

Who you are

· Have 5+ years experience in live production, broadcasting, streaming, events or a similar technical environment

· Understand the whole production chain, not just your own technical area

· Can plan practical solutions based on real production experience

· Think ahead and spot potential problems early

· Take ownership and move things forward without guidance

· Have excellent communication and collaboration skills

· Can explain and justify technical choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Want to improve how we work, not just deliver the next production

· Are happy to get your hands dirty and participate in production

· Have fluent English and Finnish skills

The position is full-time and permanent.
The salary range for this position is 4000 - 5200eur/mo + benefits. Our company benefits include high end IT equipment, comprehensive health insurance, lunch/activity benefit and share option program opportunities among others.
