THE OPPORTUNITY

The Avenues Community Engagement (ACE) team strengthens teaching and learning through service, community partnerships, student social-impact initiatives, and responsible corporate social responsibility programs.

Reporting directly to the Director of Community Engagement, we are seeking an ACE Associate to support our department’s initiatives through strong project coordination, operational execution, communication, and reliable follow-through across the ACE portfolio. In this role, you will serve as an essential anchor within our dynamic team supporting the school community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Program & Operational Coordination

• Coordinate the day-to-day execution of ACE programs and projects, translating priorities into clear plans, timelines, and follow-up.

• Streamline processes and maintain effective systems for project tracking, documentation, budgets, procurement, payments, contracts, logistics, and events.

• Anticipate operational needs, solve problems proactively, and ensure projects move consistently from planning through completion.

Partnerships, Teaching & Learning

• Maintain strong day-to-day communication and follow-up with community partners.

• Support the Director, faculty, and students in implementing community-engaged learning opportunities and student social-impact projects.

• Coordinate meetings, visits, partner connections, student activities, and other program needs.

Communication & Collaboration

• Coordinate effectively with academic and operational teams across the school.

• Ensure clear and timely communication, documentation, and follow-through with internal and external stakeholders.

• Prepare project updates, reports, and information that support department planning, decision-making, and evaluation.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

• Fluency in both Portuguese and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills across both languages.

• You bring professional experience in the non-profit or social-impact sector, with a authentic understanding of community organizations and partnership dynamics.

• Professional experience in education or school-adjacent environments, with a track record of working effectively alongside educators and students.

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously. You are digitally proficient and quick to master organizational systems.

• Highly organized with a natural drive to create structure and streamline workflows. You work well independently, prioritize effectively, and know when to seek alignment or escalate.

• You enjoy creating structure, establishing processes, and finding practical ways to streamline workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree.
