Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that support high-traffic applications and real-time event experiences. You will ensure system reliability, performance, and security while contributing to continuous product improvement and engineering excellence.
- Develop, test, and maintain efficient and reusable backend services using Node.js
- Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for seamless frontend and system integrations
- Optimize database interactions and ensure high-performance data processing across MongoDB and MySQL systems
- Implement security, authentication, and data protection best practices across backend services
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Write unit tests, maintain code quality standards, and participate in code reviews
- Document technical specifications, system designs, and development standards
- Stay updated with emerging Node.js technologies and contribute to architectural improvements
- 3–5 years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Node.js
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and MySQL databases
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and/or GraphQL development
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Docker and AWS is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, backend frameworks, and web architecture principles
- Experience using Git and modern CI/CD workflows
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
- Understanding of SDLC, secure coding practices, and code review processes
