Backend & Integration Engineer

We are seeking a Backend & Integration Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable backend systems and seamless integrations across platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong Java expertise who enjoys building APIs, working with microservices, and enabling efficient data exchange between systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (8+) and Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate)
• Build and manage RESTful APIs for system integrations and external/internal services
• Implement and support data exchange solutions using standards such as HL7, FHIR, JSON, and XML
• Work with microservices architecture across distributed systems
• Integrate third-party systems, applications, and platforms, ensuring smooth and reliable data flow
• Perform testing (unit, integration) and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps
• Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and industry standards
• Maintain technical documentation and support system enhancements

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java (8+)
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI is a plus)
• Proficiency in SQL and working with databases
• Familiarity with integration standards (HL7, FHIR) and data formats (JSON, XML)
• Understanding of SDLC, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and collaboration abilities
