Are you an experienced fashion business, retail, marketing, merchandising or visual merchandising professional looking to shape the next generation of industry talent? The School of Creative Arts and Fashion at The City of Liverpool College is seeking a passionate Fashion Business and Retail Lecturer to join our bank staffing team.

As a Fashion Business and Retail Lecturer, you will share your expertise in areas such as fashion marketing, branding, buying, merchandising, visual merchandising, customer experience, retail operations, sustainability and entrepreneurship. You will help students develop the commercial and entrepreneurial skills required to succeed within the dynamic fashion industry.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning experiences, assessing student work, monitoring progress, and supporting learners to achieve their career aspirations.

Our Fashion Business and Retail programmes equip students with both industry knowledge and practical skills, supported by strong employer relationships, live projects, and opportunities to engage with current retail practices.

We are committed to developing industry-ready graduates through innovative teaching, employer engagement, and meaningful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As an approved Bank Lecturer with The City of Liverpool College, there may be a range of teaching opportunities available throughout the academic year. These can vary from occasional or infrequent teaching hours to regular weekly commitments, including substantial teaching allocations across one or more days per week. In some instances, bank appointments may also lead to fixed-term opportunities for the duration of an academic year or progression into more permanent teaching roles, subject to curriculum need, student enrolment numbers, and performance.

Bank appointments are designed to provide flexibility for both the College and applicants, enabling us to respond effectively to fluctuations in student recruitment and curriculum demand whilst providing opportunities for experienced industry professionals and educators to join our teaching community.
