Position Summary:
As a Barber Teacher, you will play a key role in educating the next generation of barbers. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality instruction in barbering skills and techniques, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students as they progress through their training.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover practical and theoretical aspects of barbering.
• Teach students various barbering techniques, including cutting, styling, and grooming.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Create a supportive and inspiring classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate relevant techniques and tools in your teaching.
• Participate in school events and community engagement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• An active Illinois State Barbering Educator License is required.
• Experience in the barbering industry with a strong portfolio of skills preferred.
• Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A passion for education and a dedication to student success.
• Monday through Friday 5:00-10:00pm cst

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $22.00 and $23.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
