Job Description

Job Summary

At The First Group Hospitality, Exclusive Private Members' Club, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Barista to deliver exceptional coffee and beverage experiences for our members and guests. The role combines craftsmanship, product knowledge, and personalized service while ensuring every beverage reflects the quality and distinctive standards of the Club.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffees, teas, and other beverages to consistently high standards of taste and presentation.
• Engage with members and guests, understand their preferences, and provide personalized beverage recommendations.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, extraction techniques, and current beverage trends.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment correctly, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout daily operations.
• Monitor product freshness, stock rotation, inventory levels, and wastage to support efficient operations.
• Collaborate with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless and timely service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and established Club procedures at all times.

Desired Skill & Expertise

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Barista certification or relevant Food & Beverage qualification is preferred.
• 1–3 years of professional barista experience, preferably within a private members club, specialty café, luxury dining, or premium hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso preparation, milk texturing, and brewing techniques.
• Refined member engagement and communication skills with a genuine service mindset.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and product presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently and remain composed during high-volume service periods.
• Passion for coffee craftsmanship, continuous learning, and creating memorable beverage experiences.
