Beltman - Overland - Traditional Schedule

Job description - Hourly Position (traditional)

The essential functions of this position are:·

1. Must comply with all state and federal mining laws
2. Watch out for the safety of self and other co-workers
3. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
4. Perform strenuous tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
5. Load and unload supplies· Experience with Belt and power moves
6. Change rollers during downtime· Install Mechanical splices
7. Install and change out belting
8. Maintain beltlines
9. Set and recover drives· Install and change out pulleys
10. Install and maintain scrapers
11. Preform transfer maintenance
12. Cutting and welding

The marginal activities of this position are:

• Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience

Work Schedule:

• 12 hour shift (Monday or Friday)
• 12 hour shift (Saturday & Sunday - at Time and Half rate)
• Steady Day or Midnight shift

License/Certification:

• WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)
• Experience in building belt drives & transfers (Preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
• Use various hand tools
• Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly.
• Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
• Work Closely with others in a team environment
