Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a detail-oriented, fast-learning Benefits Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to our Benefits team. This is a temporary position expected to last up to 6 months.

Prior benefits experience is not required. We will train the right person! We’re looking for someone who communicates well, learns quickly, stays organized, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor team email queues, answer incoming calls, and respond to general benefits questions from hourly team members, managers, field leaders, and VPs.
  • Learn the basic details of our medical plans to provide general guidance and appropriately route questions.
  • Track open requests and follow up to make sure each inquiry is addressed in a timely manner.
  • Escalate more complex questions or issues to senior Benefits leadership when needed.
  • Assist with basic reporting, updating communication guides, and maintaining tracking logs.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Benefits team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic Excel, including data entry, sorting, and simple formatting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and concepts quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and follow through.
  • Benefits experience is not required — we will train the right candidate!

Important to Know

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week. However, for the first 90 days (the probationary period), the schedule will be Monday through Friday in the office at our corporate location in Dripping Springs.
