Bet Trader – Sports Betting

Workster is partnering with a fast-growing international technology company within the sports betting and iGaming industry to recruit a Bet Trader for their team in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong passion for sports, betting markets, odds, and data analysis. You will monitor live and pre-match markets, manage pricing and risk, and make fast, data-driven decisions to ensure accurate and competitive betting offerings across a wide range of sporting events.

Your Role

• Monitor and manage pre-match and live sports betting markets

• Analyse sporting events, market movements, statistics, and betting activity

• Set, adjust, and maintain odds and market prices

• Monitor betting exposure and take appropriate action to manage trading risk

• React quickly to live sporting events and changing market conditions

• Identify unusual betting patterns, market movements, and potential risks

• Ensure betting markets remain accurate, competitive, and commercially sustainable

• Use internal trading platforms, sports data feeds, and analytical tools to support decision-making

• Monitor competitor pricing and broader market activity

• Manage betting limits and liabilities in line with established risk parameters

• Review trading performance and identify opportunities to improve margin and market efficiency

• Collaborate with Risk, Quantitative Trading, Product, and Technology teams

• Support the testing and improvement of automated trading and pricing tools

• Maintain accurate records of trading decisions and market activity

• Stay informed about sporting events, teams, players, competitions, and relevant industry developments

Your Qualifications

• Strong passion for and knowledge of sports and sports betting

• Good understanding of odds, probabilities, betting markets, and trading principles

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and make quick, accurate decisions

• Excellent attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, real-time environment

• Strong understanding of risk and the commercial impact of trading decisions

• Good computer skills and confidence learning specialist trading platforms

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Ability to remain focused and calm during high-profile and fast-moving sporting events

• Good command of English

• Previous experience in sports betting, sportsbook trading, risk, quantitative analysis, or iGaming is highly advantageous

• Knowledge of Excel, SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is an advantage

• Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays according to the sporting calendar

• Based in or willing to relocate to Plovdiv, Bulgaria
