Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and post-submission feedback.
Develop and maintain bid plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of proposals.
Manage bid documents, ensuring compliance with client specifications, tender requirements, and company standards.
Collaborate with estimating leads, technical teams, and commercial staff to gather required inputs for bids.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive proposals.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to clarify tender requirements and address queries.
Write and edit bid responses, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and technical accuracy.
Prepare executive summaries, risk analyses, and value propositions to strengthen bid submissions.
Ensure all content aligns with the company’s branding, tone, and strategic goals.
Review bid submissions for quality, accuracy, and competitiveness before final approval.
Analyse market trends, competitor strategies, and client feedback to improve future bids.
Develop and implement bid management processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with internal governance procedures and industry regulations throughout the bid process.
Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities relevant to the role as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bid management or a related role in the construction industry.
Proven track record in managing successful bids for large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, tender processes, and commercial principles.
Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively.
Proficiency in bid management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, or CRM systems).
Analytical mindset to assess risks, identify opportunities, and craft winning strategies.
