The Billing Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day the billing operations for their Local Office in junction with the Local Billing Director in their local office. The Manager is responsible for building, supporting and developing a cohesive team that embodies the organization's values and provides excellent service and support to internal and external customers. This role will direct the team in finalizing caregiver payroll, ensure compliance with billing regulations, optimize the billing department processes, and collaborate with other departments as needed.

This is a full-time salaried role.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership:

a. Provide leadership in conjunction with the Local Billing Director to the Local Billing Team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
b. Act as the overall Manager of billing operations in their local office, working with Local Billing Director or Regional Billing Director to set and push directives.
c. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the office
d. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between team members to ensure seamless and excellent continuity of services
e. Work with Upper Management to Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities for the Billing Department, align efforts with organizational objectives provided by the Regional Billing Director
f. Review and approve team member timecards for Direct Reports
g. Other duties as assigned.

2. Training and Development
a. Develop Billers and lead Billers and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
b. Provide ongoing guidance and support to enhance the professional development and competency of team members

3. Payroll and Billing
a. Answer escalated questions
b. Finalize payroll and billing
c. Review Denials
d. Investigate billing, payroll, and 3rd party issues to identify and address root cause

4. Quality Assurance:
a. Analyze reports provided by Upper Management and take corrective action as needed
b. Perform and Review audits to ensure data integrity

5. Goal Management:
a. Work closely with the Billing team, Director of Billing and Regional Director of Billing to establish and track performance metrics, goals, and objectives for the team
b. Monitor progress towards goals, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to keep the team on track to meet targets

Qualifications:

Healthcare Clerical experience preferred

2 years of supervisory experience
